FAQs

Q:  Who are the Elite 4?
A:
In alphabetical order, we are:

  1. oxboxer aka Jemma
  2. samu3lk aka Sam
  3. skoolmunkee aka Amanda
  4. tobytobitobee aka Toby

**The current active mod is cloudedart aka Clouded.

Q: I submitted an application [a week / a month / a year ago] and haven’t heard back, what’s that about?
A:
The Elite 4 have moved on to other ventures! Since they’ve been busy (training, probably) the messages and applications have piled up. Another mod (Clouded) has been brought on to work through the backlog and field new applications, so things are back to normal!

Q:  Do you close down applications?  If so, what’s the deadline?
A:
Applications are always open, so don’t fret about having a deadline for turning one in!  If this changes we’ll announce it, but we have no plans for this.

Q:  Do you want attachments or links for samples?
A:  We don’t care!  Generally speaking, single images are easier if they’re attached and links to your gallery as a whole are easiest, but it doesn’t bother us either way.

Q:  How long does it take to process an application?
A:  It’s hard to answer this, it generally just takes as long as it takes.  All of us have work and other duties and hobbies, so it could take us a few hours to get back to you to a few days.  However, if you haven’t heard from us in over a week, feel free to email us or send an ask.

Q:  Is there a deadline for completing the challenge?
A:  There is not!  It’d be awesome if people can keep up a frequent pace, but we know that you have lives, too.

Q:  What happens when we finish the first gen list?
A:  Then you can do gen 2!  And if you finish that, gen 3, so on and so forth!

Q:  Do all my submissions have to be in the same style?
A:  Nope, if you get bored of the way you were doing them you can switch to something new–even to a whole different medium.  All we ask is that you keep the same level of effort/quality.

Q:  Do all my submissions have to be in fully rendered color?
A:  Like the previous question, nope, but just make sure it’s of quality!  So you can do monochromatic, limited colors, black and white, etc, it just can’t be something you did to half-ass it quickly.

Q:  Can we draw them in evolution groups instead of singles?
A:  Yes!  There have been entries in the past where there were all of them in one image, or people made one post with all the evolutions in that post.  However, they have to be in number order and from the same list!  So if you’re doing the original 151, you can only do Pickachu and Raichu, and only do Pichu when you graduate on to the next gen list.

Q:  Do you allow gijinka/humanised Pokémon?
A:  We do, but under the condition that you also have the regular Pokémon along with the humanised one!  See Elite 4’s Toby’s challenge for an example.
